Job Description

Compensation: Depending on Experience

Classification: Non-Exempt

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, couriers and other operational departments.
  • You must be able to organize personnel, and assist with training as required.
  • Logistics Coordinator must ensure that quality assurance checks are completed and maintained.
  • Logistics Coordinator is especially responsible for monitoring deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining accurate logs of all transportation and goods.
  • Schedule and dispatch drivers.
  • Relay work orders, messages, or information Drivers and Manager.
  • Verify Booking information against terminal systems.
  • Maintained Daily reports up to date.
  • Arrange for necessary repairs.
  • Conduct any tasks or assignments given by upper management or supervisors.
  • Billing and invoicing of all Files.
  • Data Entry
  • Heavy emails
  • Customer Service

Minimum 2 years: Experience in logistics or in the transportation industry preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Education

  • Minimum of high school diploma.
  • Typing Speed 45 WPM.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Relationships
  • Must be organized and logical, willing to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team in a fast paced and pressured environment, communicating effectively with both colleagues and clients and following verbal and written instructions.
  • Able to efficiently solve problems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of applicable DOT safety regulations preferred but not required.
  • Basic understanding of transportation equipment/terminology.
  • Able to read, speak and write English/Spanish.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines, and filing cabinets.
