Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking a Machine Controls Validation Engineer to work onsite at our client’s facility in Peoria, IL. This is a contingent position expected to last 1 year.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the electronic components of major machine systems are developed and validated to company’s high-quality standards
  • Plan and execute electronic and electric system hardware and software development and validation activities on machines
  • 50% of the day is spent on the machine, installing new software, assessing status of electronics hardware and correcting as needed, 50% of the rest of the day will be spent at a desk developing test plans, coordinating activities on machines, and collaborating with peer team members


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 3+ years of mechanical, electrical, or software engineering experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desired Qualifications/Experiences:

  • Experience with electronic and software development processes and tools
  • Control system development experience
  • Experience with troubleshooting machine mechanical, electrical, or software issues
  • Experience with diagnostic, data acquisition, and/or analysis tools such DATK, MATLAB/Simulink tool, CADeT, and CANape/CANalyzer
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python
