***Weekly Pay***Extrusion Compounding Operator***$18+***Temp-To-Hire***

Company in Plymouth is hiring for a General extrusion compounding operator responsible for setup, operation and troubleshooting of equipment and processes for manufacturing and support of manufacturing. Positions available on 2nd and 3rd Shift.

This position will be handling:

  • Twin Screw Compounder (1 line), Auxiliary and downstream equipment
  • Follow setup procedures and select machine dies and parts according to specifications.
  • Start machines and set controls to regulate vacuum, temperature, feed rate, and synchronize speed of extrusion with downstream and auxiliary equipment.
  • Measure and examine extruded products to locate defects and to check for conformance to specifications, adjusting controls as necessary to alter products.
  • Monitor processes, materials and surroundings to detect or assess problems.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Determine time for shutdown, identify limiting factors. 
  • Tear down and clean equipment using defined methods.

Other Tasks Include: 

  • Print labels using the WMS handheld for finished goods, raw materials, and waste.
  • Warehousing
  • Track, select, and store materials using defined methods
  • Acquire and maintain a fork truck license 
  • Basic Quality Assessment/Understanding 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.  
  • Some post-secondary education or military experience preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Self-motivated with ability to work alone and in small teams adjusting actions in relation to others actions.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills to convey information effectively.
  • Able to follow verbal or written instructions, warnings and product information (including safety and technical data) with an attention to detail.
  • Proficient basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.)
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office products and using basic databases / forms.
  • Critical thinking and decision making skills using logic and reasoning to reach conclusions or determine approaches to problems.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Updating and using knowledge relevant to the job.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

2nd Shift - 2pm-10am 

3rd Shift - 10pm - 6am 

Hourly Pay is Based on Experience Starting at $18.00 per hour
