Job Description

Summary:

Operate automatic and manual machines which may include welding and assembly processes and re-strike press operation. Load and unload stampings and hardware into the machines and fixtures by performing the following duties.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN METAL STAMPING & ROBOTICS IS REQUIRED. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Key Responsibility for all Employees.
• All employees have the authority and responsibility to ensure company complies with customer and stakeholder requirements.
• All employees should have training and awareness of how their work impacts our customers and stakeholders.
• Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
General Plant
• Must receive on the job training before performing any operation.
• Check with supervisor before running any job operator is not trained on.
• Must use all current automotive standard procedures and work instructions applicable to their job.
• Has the authority to place any products on hold if poor quality is suspected.
• Once 1st part is obtained, the operator is 100% responsible for his/her quality and must follow all quality and production procedures that are in place.
• Continuously perform visual inspections for product quality.
• Must be able to perform quality checks with standard gages as indicated by procedures.
• Must follow all procedures for scrap.
• Must follow all safety procedures.
• Must be able to check the product that he/she is producing and follow quality control procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve the operation of the press and related activities in the plant.
• Must be able to fill out all required paper work and labels.
• Adhere to company rules and policies
• Must be able to monitor die operations while die is running including press controls and monitors.
• Must be able to operate welding and assembly controls.
• Must be able to do rework and sorting as needed.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and work ethic - be a leader to others in the plant by example.
• Operator is responsible for all the housekeeping in their area and must follow all housekeeping procedures.
• Must be able to follow clean up procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Must meet or exceed efficiency rates for the job.
• Report problems that could affect meeting efficiency rates to supervisor
