Job Description

Generic Pharmaceutical located in New Brunswick, NJ is currently seeking a talented Maintenance Mechanic with Encapsulation/ Checkweighing & Filler equipment experience. This is a Direct Hire position for the 3rd shift.
 

Shift Schedule:
11:00PM-7:30AM

Job Summary:

Must have knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment such Encapsulation  and checkweighing equipment. Boiler License (Black and White Seal, is a bonus, but not necessary. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be Electrical and Mechanically inclined. Candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform manufacturing and facility equipment maintenance, installations and repairs as needed by user department including but not limited to carpentry, electrical, plumbing (boilers, chillers, dust collector, air handling unit, fire alarm system, etc.)
  • Coordinate with various departments for preventive maintenance, calibration and break down maintenance of processing equipment for packaging, encapsulation, and utilities equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activity of equipment and utility systems as established in department procedures and audits, and required by regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumable parts for equipment.
  • Monitor facilities and manufacturing operating equipment on a daily basis, troubleshooting problems and inefficiencies and recommending possible solutions.
  • Coordinate the services of outside vendors when necessary.
  • Identify existing and potential operational problems and inefficiencies and recommend resolutions.
  • Execute equipment installation and operational qualification protocol.
  • Maintain and organize the documents and procedures related to calibration, preventive maintenance, and breakdown maintenance and usage logbook.
  • Participate in any regulatory inspections from various organizations such as FDA, Environmental Protection Agency, Utility Authorities, and local Fire Department.
  • Provide after hour support and/or weekend emergency service when needed. 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must have experience in a GMP regulated environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Pharmaceutical / Nutraceutical environments. 
  • Strong technical ability and mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions. 
  • Boiler License a plus (Black Seal)

Education:
High School diploma required.

Pay Rate:

DOE - $30.00-$37.00 – depending on experience
5% annual bonus and night differential.
