Job Description

Position Overview

Assist in the installation, PM, and repair of all process and facilities equipment. Adhere to equipment PM program including PM procedures and schedule. Track equipment trends to enable the start of a predictive maintenance program. Be a floor representative for Kaizen Team (Continuous Improvement) for process and facility improvements including error prevention (poke yoke) for operators. Work with environmental companies and Plant Manager to collect data and maintain records for Thermal Oxidizer compliance.

Essential Job Functions

  • Respond to machine breakdowns, equipment failures, and facility repair with a strong sense of urgency
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and industrial hydraulic equipment to optimize efficiencies, reduce down time, and maintain quality
  • Assist with installation of all process equipment and facilities equipment as well as source future equipment as necessary
  • Preventive Maintenance and repair of all process and facilities equipment
  • Maintain and Kaizen current PM program including procedures for all equipment
  • Create and maintain system to track repairs to begin a predictive maintenance program
  • Collect and report data specific to company’s FESOP permit including coordination of stack tests when required
  • Kaizen of all process equipment and facilities equipment
  • Create and install poke yoke devices for process error proofing
  • Create and maintain final inspection equipment when required
  • Demolition and re-construction of facility offices when requested
  • Manage installation of new electrical circuits when requested including specifying and working with electrical vendors from quote through work sign off
  • Specification and confirmation of vendor to localize and purchase spare parts
  • Comply with and adhere to OSHA safety program requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area (5S)

Non-essential Job Functions

  • Issuing of purchase order requests for all supplies when requested by Management and/or as needed
  • Be trained to become an ISO auditor
  • Assist with monthly inventory when requested
  • Assist other personnel with the preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste shipments


  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
  • 10+ Years of equipment/facilities maintenance with hands on mechanical and electrical experience
  • Equipment troubleshooting and repair including welding repair
  • Experience determining root cause of operating errors
  • Familiar with EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA safety rules and regulations
  • Complete understanding of process and equipment control and assist in writing operation procedures with training provided.
  • Previous exposure to an ISO program and the willingness to participate in the ISO program.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Good attitude and verbal/written communication skills with all personnel
  • Regular attendance is essential for this position
  • Required to be on call (24/7), utilizing Company provided cell phone, for emergency and/or production purposes
