Job Description

Volt Workforce Solution is “Hiring Now” for an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic. This is a permanent position which is located in Santa Ana. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, all work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

 MUST HAVE HANDS ON EXPERIENCE TROUBLE SHOOTING AND MAINTAINING INJECTION MOLDING MACHINES

           Responsibilities

  • This position will maintain production and facility equipment to include installation, preventative maintenance and adjustments required by technical service instructions.
  • Safely troubleshoots, repairs, and executes all preventive maintenance tasks on injection molding related equipment required in tooling and manufacturing
  • Inspects and tests machinery and equipment to detect causes of malfunctions.
  • Dismantles machinery and equipment to gain access and perform diagnoses
  • Removes and replaces worn or defective parts.
  • Repairs hoses, wiring, valves, etc., reassembles and verifies proper function
  • Analyzes Fault Reports and service requests from personnel.
  • Effectively communicates with outside equipment suppliers to obtain competitive quotes, resolve equipment performance, maintenance, and reliability issues
  • Inspects and repairs building utilities such as replacing light bulbs and electronic ballasts, fuses, outlets, switches and other defective parts.
  • Safely troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains all building systems such as HVAC, pumps, chillers, air compressors, plumbing and electrical.
  • Inspects machinery and equipment to detect causes of malfunctions.

 Required Education and Experience

  • 1.High School Diploma or 2 years in a plastic injection molding manufacturing environment.
  • 2. Knowledge of ISO standards.
  • 3. Able to plan and organize daily activities, analyze data and react to changes and challenges in the business.
  • 4. Ability to communicate and present effectively in both written and oral form required.
