As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and performing preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment throughout various departments in the facility, and you will need the ability to work any shift, including rotating, weekends, holidays, and overtime.


  • Be an active participant in the safety process and practice safe work habits at all times.
  • Perform mechanical preventative maintenance according to an established schedule on all equipment. Inspect machinery, lubricate and make adjustments or repairs as needed and take faulty equipment out of operation until repaired.
  • Effectively troubleshoot all mechanical equipment to identify issues and take necessary corrective actions to repair, replace or rebuild.
  • Maintain an open and candid working relationship with co-workers from all departments and immediate supervisor/manager .
  • Perform other job functions as requested to support the effective and efficient operation of the plant, including duties of other classifications.
  • Read, interpret and follow blueprints and sketches, making all measurements and calculations necessary to complete the job.
  • Make out work orders, requisitions, inspection reports, time distribution, material usage, etc., and perform other clerical duties necessary to maintain proper records relative to the work performed.
  • Direct, assist, and instructs other co-workers on jobs where it is necessary to work together or when requested by supervisor.
  • Inspects/maintains plant buildings and maybe required to cast concrete forms and bollards as needed.
  • Operate, maintain, inspect, lubricate and repair all plant systems as required.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area.


  • High School diploma or GED
  • Mechanical Journeyman certification, or 5+ years of verified experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and drawings
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and handle multiple priorities and projects
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence legibly
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Experience with machine safety
  • Experience with lockout/tagout
  • Lift truck operations, JLG, etc. and the ability to obtain a license to operate
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, climb stairs, reach, and stoop frequently as well as lift up to approximately 50lbs with occasional team lifting of up to 100lbs. Must be able to work at heights.
