Job Description

2nd shift Maintenance Technician with any industry experience that has exposure to GMP's and SOP's.  are strong urged to apply now! 

Shift starts between 2pm-3pm working 8 hours a day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and facilities including machines, electrical, water, etc.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of the production and maintenance areas during and after repairs.
  • Completes required documentation for repairs and maintenance.
  • Makes safety a top priority in all tasks.
  • Maintains constant communication with the production team before, during and after repairs.
  • Provide support for capital equipment and equipment upgrade and implementation projects.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Proposes and implements equipment optimization to improve reliability and to reduce repair times.
    • Suggests optimizations for the Preventative Maintenance Schedule.
    • Makes general suggestions for improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Experience

  • 1-3 years experience with electrical and mechanical repairs in a production environment
  • 1-3 years of experience in a Food/Beverage Production Environment is preferred,not required
  • Trade experience, e.g., welding, fabrication, soldering, hand tools, carpentry, machining, etc.

Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of machinery and facilities repair principles including:
    • Mechanical
    • Electrical
    • Electronics
    • Hydraulics
    • Pneumatics
    • Controllers
  • Knowledge of safety protocols in a production and plant setting

  • Ability to troubleshoot, isolate and resolve electrical and mechanical problems
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Ability to organize, track and manage a variety of concurrent activities and projects
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and plans
  • Self- directed and able to work independently
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Willing to work alternate shifts and rotate as needed
  • Bilingual Spanish/English desired, fluency not required

Work Environment

  • Constant exposure to the production floor and yard with customary noise levels, vehicles and equipment present. Exposure to electricity, machines and power tools.
