Their production plant in Moonachie, NJ has an opening for a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician. This is a direct hire position as their goal is to retain great employees and develop long term careers. If you are looking to grow within a good company, apply now!

Hours: 9:00PM - 6:00AM (Monday - Saturday)

Basic Purpose

Under supervision, the Maintenance Technician manages the sanitation, operation, and troubleshooting of the waste water as its primary duty. Secondary duties include assisting mechanics to troubleshoot, repair and perform predictive.preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipment. 

Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high speed manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the waste water system including but not limited to the following tasks

  • Ensure we meet city, county and state regulations
  • Complete sanitation of the system including the outdoor grease trap. Sanitation is as needed and within set frequiencies
  • Troubleshooting of any waste equipment deficiency
  • Attend the system to avoid/ eliminate alarms that keep system from working
  • Press the system's discharge
  • Report chemical deficiencies so proper ordering can be completed
  • Complete COD on a daily basis
  • Ensure system and storage tanks are setup for the next 24hrs so proper water treatment can be performed without backing up the drains.

Assist mechanic in performing daily inspections along the production line and responds to escalated maintenance. production machinery issues to implement repairs in a timely manner.

Assist mechanic in maintaining utility systems such as Air Compressor, Steam Boiler, Nitrogen System, and HVAC

Shadow more senior mechanics to learn the trade including identification of equipment and sub-assets, troubleshooting and solving issues

Assist in stock inventory management by reporting if inventory levels are low

Ensure compliance with all FDA, OSHA, local regulatory agencies and auditing requirements.
