VOLT has an amazing opportunity for a Maintenance Technician/Electrician!!


The Maintenance Technician/Electrician will provide skilled support in maintaining and repairing the physical plant and equipment required by our fast-paced, high-volume grout and mortar manufacturing operation. Perform work involving skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC. This position is on our swing shift team. 50% of the time you will: Perform scheduled preventative and unscheduled repair maintenance on plant equipment. Work utilizes skills in electrical, AC motor controls, process control, PLC troubleshooting, mechanical and fluid power. Check drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace parts or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.

40% of the time you will: Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, part catalogs, as necessary. Assist in determining the options available, and/or parts needed to make necessary repairs to equipment. Inspect, operate or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.

10% of the time you will: Fabricate and maintain fixtures, tools, forms, etc., required in the production and testing of products. Maintain records of maintenance work as required.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience in troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment, electrical systems, conveyors, sensors, PLCs, motors, VFDs
  • Industrial electrical experience with 480V 3-phase
  • 110 VAC and 24VDC systems: 1 year (Required)
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Support fast-paced production and work under pressure

Starting Salary: $26-$30 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: 4/10 schedule, 4:00PM to 2:30AM, Monday - Thursday (qualified candidates need to be flexible, as overtime is MANDATORY).
