Maintenance Technician IV - 1st Shift

About the Role:

Maintains facilities, facilities systems and equipment in order to provide a safe, efficient and comfortable workplace. Responsibilities include operation, repair, and preventative maintenance of all building facilities and equipment; move and installation of equipment; and other related duties. Provides technical assistance to engineering to support manufacturing efforts by implementing corrective and preventative actions. Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve Facilities processes.  Assists in execution of facility and utility validations. 

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Performs routine repairs and maintenance of plant and/or office facilities and equipment by using hand or power tools as required.
  • Sets up and operates all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
  • Performs work in more than one of the maintenance trades:  carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical and HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, and welding, for the construction, repair, and/or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. 
  • Makes routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
  • Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process. 
  • Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment and reports problems to supervisor as appropriate.
  • Works with outside contractors on facilities and equipment repairs.
  • Interprets blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. 

What We’re Looking For In You:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School or equivalent and at least 4+ years of related experience
  • Experience with commercial HVAC systems, maintenance and repairs
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Strong Computer skills, Microsoft Office, Service request systems, preventative maintenance systems
  • Must be available for on-call rotation
  • Valid driver's license required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Boiler operator license 3rd class Grade C
  • Experience working in controlled environments areas (clean rooms)
  • Organizational skills, prioritize workload
  • Building Management System experience (Metasys)
