Maintenance Technician (1-year contract) 

Volt has partnered with a growing manufacturing company in search of a Maintenance Technician! In this you, you will be responsible for supporting High Integrity production equipment to keep it running properly to meet build schedule and production demand.  Tasks include trouble shooting equipment to determine root cause of malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance tasks, updating documentation and records on equipment, working with operators and engineers to develop more efficient workstations with better safety, coordinating with outside vendors to perform repairs on equipment, building new workstations, and other tasks as assigned.


  • Works in a production environment with Safety as the primary goal. Practices safe work habits wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all tasks.
  • Troubleshoots problems with production equipment.
  • Follows engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams and manuals to understand, diagnose issues and repair production equipment.
  • Uses hand tools, including drilling, measuring tools, taps and presses.
  • Possesses knowledge of basic computer programs including Microsoft Windows and Office.
  • Works with DVMs (Digital Volt Meters)
  • Demonstrates:
    • Basic repair knowledge
    • Basic laser knowledge
    • Basic troubleshooting skills
    • Basic mechanical and electrical skills

Desired skills:

  • Possesses knowledge of EPAC software
  • Performs advanced preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment.
  • Possesses knowledge of soldering.
  • Demonstrates:
    • Advanced repair knowledge
    • Advanced laser knowledge
    • Advanced troubleshooting skills
    • Advanced mechanical and electrical skills
  • Communicates with outside vendors for service, troubleshooting or repairs.
  • Basic programming of PLCs and Micro Controllers.
