Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring for a Maintenance Technician in Lockbourne, OH. In the role of Maintenance Technician you will perform tasks to ensure proper maintenance of all Laboratory equipment and facilities while under General Supervision.  

For the Maintenance Technician, we have openings on the following shifts:

1A -  Mon-Thurs  3AM-1:30PM  $1.00/hr  Shift Differential

2B -  Mon-Thurs  9PM-7:30AM  $1.50/hr   Shift Differential

Essential Functions

Perform department tasks including one or more of the following:

Diagnoses, repairs, and rebuilds Surfacing, Finishing and AR Coating equipment

Performs scheduled maintenance on laboratory equipment

Disassemble, clean, and rebuild specialized laboratory machinery

Performs online equipment repairs

Perform machinery Preventive Maintenance activities as prescribed by the manufacturer

Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as needed

Maintain equipment maintenance records

Assist with a variety of facility and departmental process improvement projects

Troubleshoot a wide variety of computer controlled automation equipment

Perform building infrastructure maintenance tasks including light plumbing, painting, and general facility upkeep

Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Two to four years of experience in factory equipment maintenance

Demonstrated experience and familiarity with fluid power, mechanical, and thermal system experience

Experience in trouble-shooting electrical, electronic and motor control systems, including the use of electrical diagnostic equipment and ability to read system schematics and drawings

General understanding of process quality control and Total Productive Maintenance practices

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot automation control computers, PLCs and networks

Familiarity with office computer systems hardware and software, including MS Office

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting with a Customer-Centric ethic

Familiarity with safety and health requirements relating to maintenance activities

Able to lift 40-50 pounds unassisted, stand up to 100% of the time, and perform physical activities requiring bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling

Experience with Lockout / Tagout procedures

Ability to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish the above tasks

Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination

Working Conditions

The working environment is well lighted and ventilated.  Individuals are typically required to stand for long periods of time.  Noise and dust from power-grinding machinery and other equipment is to be expected.  Individuals may wear safety attire such as goggles and gloves and may work physically close to others, such as when sharing work areas.  There are no major hazards.
