Volt Workforce Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician. This is a Direct Hire opportunity located in Auburn, WA so please apply!

This role requires an individual who is very mechanically inclined and has an understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics. You must be independently motivated with self-starting characteristics as well as the ability to coordinate and communicate with a team. 

Job Duties:

  • Work with and troubleshoot Mechanical and Electrical equipment
  • Fabrication, Welding and Machine Shop
  • Train and schedule the staff needed fulfill work orders and upgrades to equipment and basic building functions
  • Monitor alarm responses and mechanical operations associated with assigned site location
  • Communicate with Management, building Management and machine operators to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain work orders using a CMMS system
  • Experience reading, understanding and follow wiring schematics.
  • Experience in programming and troubleshooting PLC’s
  • Experience with computer controlled machinery
  • Experience with troubleshooting electrical issues on machinery.
  • Experience with compressed air systems.
  • Working knowledge of dust collection equipment, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with basic metal fabrication, cutting and welding.
  • Familiarity with the use and maintenance of various pneumatic hand tools.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Satisfactory driving record.


  • 5 to 7 years of experience in manufacturing and facility equipment preventative maintenance.  Must have a minimum 3 years’ experience working with low voltage (120v / 1ph) and high voltage (208/480v 3ph) equipment and controls.
  • Mig and gas welding experience. Stick welding helpful.
  • Must have basic knowledge of electrical test equipment and its use.
  • 3 phase electrical experience.
  • Experience in diagnosing electrical and mechanical systems and documenting solutions. 
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • PLC knowledge
  • Fluent on computer technology and equipment, M-Code knowledge helpful.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Must work well independently with little supervision.
  • Must be well organized and efficient.
  • Must be safety oriented.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language fluently.
  • Speaking and reading German a plus but not necessary
