Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a well-known plastic injection molding company in Loveland, Colorado. This candidate will be under the supervision of the Facilities Manager. As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the timely and professional completion of maintenance related activities for the entire company while bringing a skill set focused on Injection Molding Machines and related support equipment. This position requires an individual with good teamwork, troubleshooting and varied repair skills, with an eagerness to provide exceptional customer service to departments and individuals throughout the company that bring diverse maintenance, general assistance, and service requests. 


  • Safely troubleshoots, repairs, and executes all preventive maintenance tasks on injection molding related equipment required in tooling and manufacturing operations (i.e. thermolators, injection molding machines, grinders, CNC machinery, robotics, etc.)  Inspects and tests machinery and equipment to detect causes of malfunctions.  Dismantles machinery and equipment to gain access and perform diagnoses.  Removes and replaces worn or defective parts.  Cleans and lubricates shafts, pulleys, gears, bearings, bushings, etc.  Repairs hoses, wiring, valves, etc., reassembles and verifies proper function.
  • Safely performs manufacturing equipment installations which requires working with outside vendors to coordinate equipment location and movement path.
  • Analyzes Fault Reports and service requests from personnel, diagnoses and determines appropriate course of action, accurately documents all work, findings and expenses in the appropriate interface, closes work orders and service requests in a timely manner according to procedure.
  • Ensures environmental compliance by timely and safe removal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste using authorized disposal techniques and facilities. 
  • Maintains meticulous housekeeping with regard to work areas, tools, instruments, vehicles and other company equipment to continually reflect the high standards of the company.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Injection Molding operations and support.
  • Scientific Molding certification through Routsis or equivalent.
  • Must be able to work effectively within OSHA mandated safety guidelines and perform tasks in a safe manner using proper methods and tools.
  • Must have knowledge of and apply energy control procedures (lock out/tag out) properly.
  • Completes scheduled work on time, accurately and completely with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to use standard hand tools, repair and diagnostic instruments and tools, (i.e. ratchets, wrenches, volt meter, power lawnmower, string trimmer, power drills, etc).
  • Must be able to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Must be able to interpret standard machine manuals provided by equipment suppliers.


  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or the equivalent combination of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3-years experience in equipment installation, maintenance and operation methods, equipment troubleshooting, OSHA safety requirements, state and local safety, fire and environmental regulations; certifications preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
  • Ability to be forklift certified.
