 The Manager of Credit opportunity is with Volt corporate and is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the Credit department, which provides service to all divisions of Volt both in North America and worldwide. The position supervises a staff of approximately 3-5 employees.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for hiring and retaining an appropriately qualified staff. Includes job performance, descriptions, qualifications, training, directing work and employee reward and discipline.

  • Develop and maintain Credit policies and procedures consistent with and within corporate internal control policies and guidelines and ensure their proper functioning.

  • Establish adequate internal controls over credit processes.

  • Evaluates credit for all new customers and assigns appropriate credit lines.

  • Monitors accounts receivable balances against credit lines and taking appropriate action if credit lines are exceeded.

  • Monitor the ongoing financial health of Company's customers taking any appropriate action to safeguard the Company's assets.

  • Manage accounts in bankruptcy to ensure maximum recovery through court approved motions and claims and minimum loss through preference claims.

  • Manage Dun and Bradstreet relationship.

  • Maintain reports, metrics and dashboards which highlight credit and issues as well as staff productivity and performance.

  • Provide analytical information that will assist senior management with making critical Business decisions. 

1O years progressive credit experience in a high-volume environment which includes hands on managerial experience. Will have significant experience in evaluating credit for all sizes of companies both domestically and overseas.

  • Demonstrated strong management ability. Skilled in planning and organizing, delegation, control, employee development, appraising performance, employee relations and coordination with other managers and departments.

  • Strong knowledge of Credit best practices including the effective use of credit scoring tools and services.

  • Ability to develop and design efficient processes which include strong internal controls.

  • Ability to document these processes in a detailed manner which ensures that it is clear to both the processor and any reviewer of the process what work has been performed.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff including executive management and customers

  • Extremely strong analytical abilities

  • Skilled in problem analysis and resolution and possess strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or other relevant degree from an accredited • university

  • Credit certification is a plus
