Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is currently searching for the right candidate for one of our successful clients in Newport DE.

The Manufacturing Operator/Machine Maintenance needs good mechanical aptitude and can work with maintenance of small parts. Most of the time will be rebuilding small equipment for our manufacturing line.

Job Title:   Manufacturing Operator/Machine Maintenance  

Hours:  Monday – Friday 8:30 AM to 5 PM

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour

Duration:  12 months


Primary duties will be to perform maintenance on the LC systems cells and injectors.

Additional duties may be related to installation, maintenance, repair and support of manufacturing equipment.


  • Have a strong mechanical aptitude and be capable of handling and assembling small components.
  • Can work with basic hand and power tools to aid in job completion.
  • Preferably have previous experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems
  • Be capable of diagnosing failures and repairing
  • Have basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Have basic computer skills in the Windows operating system


Demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to read and understand written procedures and instructions.
Demonstrated ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide, ratios, weights & measures).
Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions.
Experience with troubleshooting and applying corrective actions.
Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records.
Experience working with computers: keyboarding, Windows environment.
Demonstrated ability to manipulate small parts, manual dexterity.
Required to bend, stoop, and reach.
Required to remain standing for extended periods of time.
No known allergies to chemicals used in the work area.
May be required to lift materials per entity specified and approved limits.

Basic PC skills: spreadsheets, word processing, databases.
Previous manufacturing experience in an ISO certified environment.
