Job Description

VOLT is hiring for a Manufacturing Eng Technician to work onsite with our customer John Deere in Moline, IL in a contingent position forecasted for 1+ year.  This position will provide welding support & trouble shooting for production. This position will also investigate, gather, & analyze data & implement solutions; Assists in cost reduction, quality, safety, & ergonomic improvements; Assists in studies related to capacity, productivity, & efficiency; and Assists in analysis, development, & implementation of new welding manufacturing processes & technology.

**This is primarily a 1st shift position, but due to being a 3rd shift operation candidate could move to 2nd or 3rd shift depending on vacations, quarantines, and production volume shift.

REUIREMENTS:

  • 5 or more years’ experience in Gas Metal Arc Welding
  • 2 or more years’ experience in programming & maintaining robotic MIG welders
  • 2 years weld inspection experience
  • 1 year experience in training welding operators in weld inspection & robotic operations
  • Familiarity in use of welding gages
  • Knowledge of common tool design & process capabilities
  • Print reading skills required & GDT knowledge desirable
  • Excellent communication skills & work experience in a team environment
  • Ability to do variable shifts & flexibility for work hours & shifts. Overtime may be required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Must be available to work on W2 for Volt.  No C2C or 3rd party vendors please.
