Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is current seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a client in the City of Industry, CA area.

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the design of production tools and/or machines, and for developing solutions to production problems relating to materials, processes, and tooling. This candidate will also support new programs by developing new processes, designing tooling and machinery, and developing production controls.   

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs tools and/or machines of varying types (some of a very complex nature) for use in the manufacture of company products.
  • Re-designs, repairs, or replaces in-process production program equipment, production control hardware, and tooling.
  • Provides routing and times for new programs; supervises their assembly and proofing. Updates same when changes to processes/tooling.
  • Sets up new equipment, ensures its satisfactory operation, and instructs others to use the new equipment properly.
  • Writes procedures for the operation of new or existing equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S.M.E. degree, or a B.S. degree with a concentration of coursework in Industrial Technology or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5-8 years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, with tool and/or machine design experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering industry working with metals and fabrication.
  • Experience working in the Machine Shop is required.
  • Working Knowledge of CNC Machines (A Must Have).
  • Programming Experience in CNC Machines (A Must Have).
  • Strong drafting skills.
  • Mastercam & G/M CDE programming.
