Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician 1-2


Tuesday- Friday, 4X10 hour days

Wage is $15-$20 per hour DOE


Volt is looking for a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician for our client located in Bend, OR. The primary work focus will be on Hi-Vac semiconductor process tools. This position will support the various manufacturing areas and will work under the direction of the process engineers and area manager. This position requires a self-starter who maintains a high level of quality consistently in a production and R&D environment.


  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fab, electrical test, and assembly manufacturing equipment.
  • Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, rebuilds, and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and rough sketches or drawings.
  • Uses test and diagnostic equipment, and may be required to evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, and equipment.
  • Work with vendors, field service, and technical representatives.
  • Attend applicable team meetings and communicate daily activities to peers and management.
  • Make database entries to document all work performed on equipment, as well as create and maintain documentation around tooling maintenance procedures. 
  • This position requires wearing PPE at times, working with and around chemicals and background noise, standing for long periods, and lifting 60+lbs.


  • Maintenance of semiconductor equipment
  • Consistent maintenance quality
  • Follow established maintenance procedures
  • Work with module engineers on process tool performance
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with peers, engineering, and area manager
  • Provide support as directed in maintaining spares inventory
  • Coordinate the work/services performed by contractors and outside vendors


  • A/A in Electronics or Manufacturing Technology or equivalent experience recommended
  • 1-3 years of experience on Hi-Vac semiconductor process tools and equipment maintenance recommended
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs such as Word, Excel and non-windows operating systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities
  • Willing to work overtime and modify work shift from time to time to accommodate production needs
