Our client is looking for Bilingual English/Spanish speaking Manufacturing Manager to join their team.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
• Directs Assembly team, verifying all assemblies meet quality standards, customer and other internal requirements, and ensures that operators conform to documented processes
• Coordinates and aligns work between the day and swing shifts to maximize productivity and throughput
• Assists Assembly team with reading, understanding and following assembly documentation including assembly drawings, work instructions, routers, and lot verification information
• Coordinates with planning to prioritize daily workload based on delivery commitments, economic lot sizing, and optimal workflow
• Responsible for training and compliance to training requirements. Coordinates Assembly team activities to optimize assembler expertise in order to meet production requirements
• Manages movement of orders onto production floor and back to stock including work order paperwork and other documentation
• Works with Manufacturing Engineering to coordinate upcoming product designs and requirements to ensure a smooth transition for New Product Introductions (NPI)
• Organizes training on production equipment including Cirris test machines, cable coil equipment, laser stripping, Schleuniger cutting machines, crimp tooling, label makers, and other equipment; ensures equipment is within calibration
• Leads troubleshooting and root cause analysis of defective products; works with QA staff to ensure adherence to processes, good documentation practices, and product quality requirements
• Contributes improvement ideas for processes, including 1st pass yield, work order efficiency, and scrap/rework amounts
• Develops KPIs to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control processes
• Enforces and promotes all safety procedures for entire team including the use of safety glasses, regular stretching, and 5S. Initiates appropriate corrective action when necessary; maintains a clean and well-organized work area
• Provides input to Manufacturing Engineering to document new assemblies including drawings, routings, work instructions and other

QUALIFICATIONS

Bilingual English/Spanish required

• High School diploma or G.E.D equivalent required; Bachelor degree preferred
• Ten (10) years of working on a manufacturing floor and five (5) years experience supervising a production team
• IPC Certification is preferred
• Experience working within Quality Management systems that comply with the requirements of ISO 9001 / 13485 preferred, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and 5S; experience dealing with quality issues successfully
