Job Description

Volt has partnered with a large medical device Manufacturer in Somerset, NJ.  We are seeking an Manufacturing Manager (1st shift) who is ready to join a growing & employee-focused organization! 

This is a Direct Hire role!

Are you ready to?

  • Plan and direct production activities in order to meet required production volumes and cycle times
  • Develop and enforce company operating procedures and standards. (i.e. ISO 9000, QS 9000, GMP, G1002, ECR, union contact)
  • Develop strategies for cost reduction through continuous improvements. 
  • Support quality during team reviews of non-conformances (both internal and external) to determine root causes and corrective action
  • Coach and motivate employees and direct team to meet quality and safety requirements
  • Facilitate resolution of complex manufacturing issues through cross functional teams.
  • Ensure manufacturing areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe manner utilizing 5s principles
  • Monitor inventory status and coordinate with the Planner(s) as needed to ensure an uninterrupted supply of components through the use of ERP system
  • Develop, communicate and achieve KPIs that support corporate goals
  • Identify, develop and implement systems to ensure robust and standardize manufacturing processes

Do you Have?

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 1-2 years of experience supervising or leading a team
  • Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Experience with injection molding, metal fabrication, and/or medical device 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
