Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is currently searching for the right candidate for one of our major client’s in Wilmington DE as a Material Handler w/SAP.

The Material Handler with SAP experience will be responsible for performing a variety of duties within a manufacturing environment. Duties may be related to material processes, manufacturing process support, equipment setup and/or operation, test and repair, and quality inspection.

 

Position:        Material Handler w/SAP Experience

Hours:            Monday – Friday      8 AM – 4:30 PM

Duration:        12 months

Pay Rate:       $15.00/hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with receiving to coordinate material movement
  • Place inventory into correct bin location quickly and accurately
  • Perform routine tasks using hand tools, operating equipment, utilizing printers, working on PCs, and equipment calibration.
  • Monitor and verify quality of materials and documents
  • Count inventory of material locations as required and communicate part shortages and inventory needs
  • Expedite material requests
  • Provide superior customer service by resolving issues quickly
  • Contribute to continuous improvement culture by developing and implementing ideas
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work area
  • Follow all documented procedures, safety, and environmental guidelines
  • Provide back-up support to other employees as needed
  • Troubleshoot and fix equipment: printers
  • Cross train for other roles


JOB REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment
  • Microsoft Office Skills - Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • SAP experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Forklift certification
  • Ability to give/receive oral or written information clearly and perform basic math
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • No known allergies to industrial chemicals
  • Ability to 50% stooping, standing, bending, walking, reaching to retrieve or deliver parts typically under but not limited to 50 lbs. 50% processing transactions and paperwork
