Job Description

Shift: 9 am to 5:30 pm

Volt has a temporary opportunity for a Manufacturing Operations Coordinator for its Customers growing consumables manufacturing facility located in Hayward, California. Consumables business is an industry leader in innovation, market share and performance. We are seeking energetic, motivated individuals to support manufacturing by providing supply of clean and sterile labware. Also performs various inspection/audit tasks and other lab support functions as needed.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Uses training and professional concepts to keep a supply of clean and sterile labware including sterilization by autoclave

May assist in kit assembly and basic labeling of products

Tracks and records hours according to procedure

Completes other related tasks including inspections/audits as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities) & Experience:

Good organizational skills and detail oriented

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Basic computer skills

Strong sense of ownership for completion of tasks

Ability to incorporate basic safe chemical handling practices into daily work

1 or more years of experience or equivalent in a laboratory or production setting is preferred.

-Experience with labware glass washing, use of autoclave and other related equipment is preferred

-Understanding of a quality system, such as GMP and/or GLP or a Clinical Research Organization (CRO) or other regulated environment is helpful (ISO 9000, ISO 17025 and/or QSR)

Education:

Current college student or recent graduate with a life science or chemistry focus.

Physical Requirements:

-Frequent Lifting and lowering of lab glassware 21-50 lbs

-Frequent Pushing/Pulling (cart or dolly aided) 21-50 lbs

-Frequent standing during dish washing

-Occasional Twisting/Turning/Squatting/Reaching over head to stock glassware

-Light Keyboarding
