Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is teaming with Agilent Technologies in hopes to find a Manufacturing Lab Tech to work in their facility in North Kingston RI.

The Lab Tech will work individually and as part of multi-discipline, cross-functional team. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Accurately acquire raw materials, calculate analyte and solution quantities, produce chemical reference standards and report production and quality records according to SOP and shop order instructions.
  • Perform daily calibration of analytical scale.
  • Perform routine and/or non routine maintenance on lab equipment.
  • Document work using electronic manufacturing system.
  • Lead by example through demonstration of good work ethic and respectful communication skills. Participates, cooperates and contributes as part of a team. Provides feedback to supervisor or technical support group on safety, quality, and process related issues. Serves as a change agent who actively supports Agilent initiatives and encourages new idea generation. Escalates any issues requiring management attention.
  • Proactively solve problems and participates in continuous improvement initiatives related to solution production operations.
  • Ensure decisions are aligned with department and company goals and objectives

Requirements

  • 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience in chemistry, biochemistry or related field.
  • 1+ year experience in analytical laboratory environment.
  • Computer proficiency in ERP systems and office productivity tools such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation programs.
  • Ability to work in team environment as leader and/or team contributor.
  • Focus, strong attention to detail, excellent laboratory hygiene practices

Preferred

  • BS or BA in Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalent
  • Experience working in GLP/ISO compliant environments, with Six Sigma, LEAN manufacturing, and basic statistics software.
  • Experience producing organic and inorganic chemical solutions.
  • Experience working with SAP.
