Job Description

We are seeking a Marketing/Sales Specialist for an excellent company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sales and marketing activities to further the company revenue by ensuring the development and delivery of quality marketing communications, e.g. Collateral, Customer Referral Program, and company website, etc.  Updates and ensures accuracy and effectiveness of Salesforce data, including system administration, lead generation, data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:

 Conducts research; creates and implements plans for event/tradeshow attendance, maintaining oversight and responsibility for the event. Acts as the company’s “face” for social media activity to leverage the company name and product recognition and generate business.   

Maintain and ensure accuracy of customer accounts/contacts in Salesforce and Aprimo contact management system. Manage third party tele-prospecting business partner relationship; provide consult and education on new company modules; create messaging and value proposition. Oversee and manage lead qualification process; liaise between business partner, account executive and customer prospect for “next steps” in net new business. Initiate/lead projects related to Sales and Marketing initiatives. Create reports and prepare account executive for sales “call” interface. Maintain customer database for purposes of installed base data, e.g. details of customer usage of company products, version, ERP integration, shipping volume level, etc. Maintain and ensure accuracy of marketing automation systems.

Develop and create marketing collateral used with prospects and sales presentations, and internal collateral used for value and competitive positioning. This collateral is used in all facets of the sales and marketing efforts: direct business-to-business, press releases, advertisements, case studies and digital formats such as webinars and e-mail campaigns. Generate and/or translate broad concepts or technical information to produce clear/concise documents and messaging of marketing material and product value. Participate in the generation of sales proposals.

Identify and implement opportunities to improve Customer Reference Program. Utilize customer database to ensure customer participation and engagement. Work with sales reps to identify a potential customer reference.  Communicate with customers to participate and stay involved in program. 

Act as resident expert and liaison to leverage all sales and marketing opportunities presented via social media. Maintain presence to engage LinkedIn group. Manage the overall design of website. Develop, create and ensure messaging and content are consistent with brand image. Create and manage weekly blog posts to social media outlets.

Event Management – Budget, plan and support for events to be attended / held by the company. Establish project plan related to trade show attendance to ensure key deliverables are achieved.  Attend industry-related conferences. Plan, schedule and work with solution consultants for monthly Customer Information Session. Develop and implement outbound campaigns to targeted vertical markets.  Analyze the impact and adjust accordingly.

Education Requirements:

  • Education/Licenses:  Degree level education preferred
  • Experience:  5 years
