Description
Volt is immediately hiring for a Master Scheduler in Orange County, CA.
As a Master Scheduler you will:
- Coordinate and oversee the activities of Material Planners to ensure accurate and timely material acquisition.
- Review and validate Sales & Marketing forecasts, ensuring proper integration into the Epicor/Vantage ERP system.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of company inventory goals and guide planning efforts to align with organizational objectives.
- Build and maintain production schedules based on inventory needs, sales demand, and special customer requirements
- Monitor material readiness and support launch timelines for new products, including tooling and fixture planning.
- Perform ongoing trend and forecast analysis to support product lifecycle decisions.
- Communicate proactively with manufacturing and cross?functional teams to ensure steady material flow and timely issue resolution.
- Adjust production and demand schedules based on customer changes, inventory availability, equipment readiness, and operational constraints.
- Analyze production and inventory data to identify inefficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement.
- Generate weekly and monthly production performance reports.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing practices such as value stream mapping, Kanban, JIT, and optimized production flow.
This is a full time, direct hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have :
- Strong background in production planning and scheduling.
- Hands?on experience with MPS/MRP systems and ERP planning tools (Epicor, Vantage, MAS preferred).
- Solid understanding of inventory management principles and manufacturing workflows.
- Proven ability to analyze data, troubleshoot material or scheduling issues, and recommend effective solutions.
- Familiarity with forecasting processes and adjusting schedules to meet demand.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership teams.
- Ability to perform statistical analysis and utilize data to drive decisions.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- CPIM and/or CSCP certification.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation (plant layout optimization, value stream mapping, Kanban, Heijunka, etc.).
- Prior exposure to ISO environments.
- Experience supporting new product introductions.
- Advanced analytical or data visualization skills.
Salary:$100,000 - $125,000 per year
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
