Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking a Material Coordinator in Quad City area. This is a contingent position forecasted for three years, with the possibility of being extended.

In this role you will be Coordinating the activities for the tactical execution of a production plan within the factory; and the flow of materials in multiple departments of the factory, which may include shipping and receiving. Ensuring that the production personnel have the parts they need in order to produce the desired product(s). Overseeing and that the inventory is correct and on time, identifying problems and making suggestions involving production schedules.

Breakdown of Job Duties:

    • Interface between shop, engineering, and technicians
    • Ensure prints are available within SAP
    • Attend build meetings, planning discussions, etc.
    • Write MaSA, PO, Reservation, work orders for engineering
    • Work with buyers and material specialists to establish sound lead times for commodities
    • Collaborate with supply management to evaluate supplier quality, capabilities, and capacity
    • Speak with technicians and help get parts to them per plan
    • Tracks prototype parts to ensure arrival in time for builds and future testing. 
    • Track Metrics
    • Source kits to ensure appropriate parts are available when needed for tests or builds.


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Experience as both an individual and collaborative contributor
  • Able to walk for extended periods. 
  • Should also be able to lift and carry roughly 10 pounds with no problems


SAP Experience.  Prior Experience in Material Flow, Logistics, or Manufacturing.
