Material Handler

Description:

A local leading organization is currently seeking experienced Material Handlers in Asheville, NC for a long-term opportunity. Assembly positions require candidates to work with small hand tools and assemble small parts as well as label and package products.  If you meet the qualifications listed below – Apply Now!

Responsibilities for assembler roles include but are not limited to:

  • Picking orders from stock inventory
  • Unload, move, and store a variety of materials, parts and products
  • Utilize power and manual lifts as well as transfer equipment
  • Store and stack materials according to supervisor instructions
  • Verify/identify parts and/or materials; report shortages or damaged materials
  • Operate RF Scanners
  • Cycle counting and inventory control
  • Fill orders accurately and efficiently to ensure full production rates are supported
  • Assist with broad range of warehouse tasks, utilizing forklifts, pallet movers, drum dollies, etc.  
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
  • Maintains clean and organized work area

Candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Must have experience working with forklift, pallet movers, drum dollies and carts
  • Prior order processing, chemical handling or warehouse experience beneficial but not required
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and consistently lift 35 pounds
  • At least one year of prior relevant experience is preferred but not required
  • Prior experience/knowledge of Baan is preferred, but not required.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Strong organizational skills

We have openings on the second shift: Monday - Friday from 4:30 PM- 1:00 AM*.

                                     Overtime is mandatory and includes Saturdays

        *May require work until 3:00 AM.
