Volt Workforce Solutions is supporting a client that Provides a full spectrum of world-class electronics manufacturing services (EMS), from prototyping through full scale production including, turnkey box builds, engineering and advanced testing solutions. They specialize in low-to-medium volume, high-mix assemblies for IP critical and complex applications.

Material Handler -Lead Position

Role and Purpose within the Organization:

Handle, store, document and track all material used in the manufacture of electronic assemblies or complete box builds. Provides for the proper identification and preservation of all parts received and ensures integrity of parts stored in preparation for use in the manufacturing process.

Qualifications for Job Function:

  • Prior experience with inventory control/movement and/or packing/shipping methods in an electronics manufacturing environment. 
  • Ability to read, understand and verify bills of material, assembly drawings, ERP data and/or other technical information as applicable for identifying materials as received and at all stages of production throughout the factory. 
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Excel is a must.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and the ability to multi-task
  • Must demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability lift, carry and/or pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Must remain in a seated/standing position for sustained period of time
  • Leadership skills -Someone that is a lead already is ideal 



  • Unpack and identify all incoming parts, chemicals, assemblies, etc. being received by   AMS.
  • Ensure that all received items are promptly moved to a storage location or into inventory for use.
  • Properly pack finished goods, parts and other items that are being shipped from AMS.
  • Ensure that all required shipping paperwork is completed and readable.
  • Contact shipping carriers and arrange for pick-up of items at AMS.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Equipment operation:

  • Operates pallet jack, counting scales and shipping scales.
  • Operates Windows based computer system and label printers.
  • Operates additional equipment as needed such as automated label system, handlers, etc.
  • Operates semi or fully automated packaging equipment.

Shift: 7:30am to 4pm Monday thru Friday, some weekends
