Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is currently searching for the right candidate for one of our major client’s in Wilmington DE as a Material Handler w/SAP.

The Material Handler with SAP experience will be responsible for performing a variety of duties within a manufacturing environment. Duties may be related to material processes, manufacturing process support, equipment setup and/or operation, test and repair, and quality inspection.


Position:        Material Handler w/SAP Experience

Hours:            Monday – Friday      8 AM – 4:30 PM

Duration:        12 months

Pay Rate:       $15.00 - $15.50/hour


  • Coordinates the movement of materials for the product line.
  • Receives, stores and/or distributes materials and materials inventory.
  • Performs a variety of administrative tasks, including maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Maintains non-conformance materials and scrap parts.
    Performs kitting of materials for production, and interfaces with all warehouses.
  • Effectively uses SAP for all required transactions to support the manufacturing process.
  • Conforms with all safety and ESD requirements.
  • Track materials, account for scrap, and monitors processes against control parameters. 
  • Supports team members in achieving the production line objectives and goals through effective teamwork.
  • Maintains flexibility and receptiveness to change in daily routine.
  • Open to and capable of completing a variety of tasks in the work area that require standing, lifting, and walking.
  • Understands the process flow and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Understands and follows the Quality system requirements.


  • HS Diploma or GED
  • SAP Experience
  • Experience in material handling, inventory
  • Ability to bag or package small parts: high level of manual dexterity.
  • Ability to give/receive oral or written information clearly.
  • Ability to work with others to create and accomplish a common goal.
  • Ability to adjust rapidly and effectively to change and remain open to new ideas.
  • Quality system orientation: demonstrated use of tools, methods and processes to ensure that own/others’ work meet quality standards.
  • Responsibility/ownership: demonstrated willingness to take responsibility for resolving problems, personally championing new ideas or solutions to these problems.
  • General computer literacy: effective use of computer applications to perform work or testing.
  • No known allergies to industrial chemicals used in the work area; may be required to participate in medical training/screening or monitoring programs.
  • Ability to routinely lift 35 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and remain standing for extended periods of time (Up to 4-6 hours per day).
