Material Handler

Pay $14-18 DOE

Available Shifts:

-Third Shift: 10:00pm-6:30am 

-Rotating Schedule: 2:00pm-2:00am

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Operates a gas or electric forklift in and between departments, building and grounds.
  • Collects and delivers a variety of materials, adhering to good safety practices in carrying out duties.
  • Delivers materials to work areas as directed, stacks materials in storage areas and loads shipments in trailers.
  • Prepares and checks necessary receipts, records and reports.
  • Observes necessary safety precautions.

To ensure product safety, this position will:

  • Adhere to GMP requirements
  • Handle product in a manner that protects it from adulteration
  • Identify product and/or situations that risk product contamination and prevent them
  • Perform cleaning in their area as directed and make sure that cleaning activities do not risk product safety. Cleaning is documented on the MCS
  • Identify product and/or situations that violate cleaning and pest control requirements
  • Look out for damaged shipping containers and make sure they are replaced
  • Inspect incoming vessels for cleanliness, holes, condition of the floor and pests
  • Reject nonconforming vessels and inform their supervisor
  • Examine incoming goods for pest activity
  • Document receipts and shipments according to procedures, work instructions, etc. to provide product/goods traceability
  • Keep dock doors closed when not in use
  • Make sure visitors, truck drivers, etc. keep doors closed
  • Make certain that no glass is brought into the facility
  • Not use containers for storing miscellaneous items
  • Practice good hygiene and not eat, drink (water in plastic bottles is allowed) or use tobacco except in designated areas.


  • High school diploma
  • Possess a current OSHA forklift certification.
  • One year of previous experience as a forklift operator is required.
  • Must also be alert and attentive.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
