Material Handler

Everett, WA

Temp-to-Hire Opportunity!

1st shift

Volt has partnered with a world leader in manufacturing to fill a potential temp to hire role for a Material Handler. We are looking for highly qualified individuals who are ready to jump right into a fast-paced job.

As a Material Handler you will ship, receive, package, count and route material (may involve chemicals), completing associated paperwork, and supports production cells through set-up and replenishment of materials.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinate & perform picking and shipping steps of inter-org & external orders
  • Receive & route material to designated locations
  • Kanban bin fill and execution
  • Maintain necessary records and files of transactions, verifying accuracy of shipments against bills of lading, invoices or other records on Oracle or other systems.
  • Set up locations in Oracle and resolve purchase order receiving discrepancies and receiving discrepancies with planner-buyer.
  • Sustain material presentations in the cells utilizing FBS tools including Fortive Material System (FMS) and 5S.
  • Expedite internal material requirements, transferring inventory to multiple locations including MRB.
  • Physically perform and transact cycle counts of materials.
  • Investigate and reconcile bad counts with assistance of senior material handler

Working Conditions And Basic Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Position may require occasional heavy lifting (> 50 lbs) or movement of objects up to 40 lbs.
  • Repetitive use of upper extremities
  • Must be able to read, speak and understand English fluently in order to communicate and provide directions to various team members in operations
  • Available to work a minimum of 10% OT
