Job Description

Volt is looking for a to work on-site with our customer as a Material View Extender & Services Administrator for a contingent role forecasted for two years in Waterloo, IA.  In this unique role, you will have the opportunity to Support consistent use of common Supply Management processes and tools to facilitate the proper utilization of established procedures. Utilizes the business software to create view extension of material masters for both manufactured and purchased materials. Administers the central creation of schedule agreements. Executes small projects upon request.

Job Duties:

  • Sets up material masters for both manufactured and purchased materials using the business software.
  • Creates schedule agreements (blanket purchase orders) centrally and documents standards allowing better control of parameters.
  • Establishes the relationship between vendor and material by maintaining the source list. Provides training and expertise regarding complex problem solving within business software workflow (e.g. blocked invoice resolution).
  • Provides higher level Supply Management Planner support in the interpretation of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) advice to provide centralized planning support and/or to special projects. Identifies process gaps and improvements to current procedures and documentation.
  • Performs system audits to ensure compliance with the standards allowing for optimization, improvements and correction of errors.
  • Performs various administrative support tasks, including parameter studies, enhancements to documentation, and on-the-job training to co- workers and sister facilities.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel,  prefer candidates who have experience with SAP.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Management  related field preferred.

  • Ability to learn/ master new programs quickly is required.
