We are looking to hire an Materials and Parts Expeditor for our Client in the storage of bio-pharmaceuticals in North York, ON for approximately a 1-3 month long assignment with the possibility of extension through our Company Volt Workforce Solutions Canada.


  • Client: in the Storage Solutions and bio-pharmaceuticals business

  • Shift: Hours are either 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm EST

  • Pay Rate: $15-$18/hour (T4 rate) +  benefits available


  • Facilitates and expedites the flow of materials to and from various departments.
  • The Expeditor deals directly with vendors to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods to appropriate locations.
  • Checks system to verify delivered goods match order specifications.
  • A key component of the job is to handle any delivery inconsistencies or delays and to monitor IDR list.

Essential Functions:

  • Expedite assigned purchase orders to ensure all requirements specified in the purchase order are accomplished with regard to data supply, timely inspection and on time delivery.
  • Facilitate the timely flow of information and services to and from Suppliers, Site Managers, vendors and SSI Procurement.
  • Review Purchase Orders for terms and conditions regarding materials procured.
  • Handle any delivery inconsistencies or delays and alert management
  • Deal directly with vendors to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods to appropriate locations
  • Input information in the SOS System or other CMMS System to log purchase order history from inception.
  • Review inspection reports for potential problems and further actions.


  • High School Diploma


  • 1-2 years working experience; warehouse or retail environment
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and phone skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented and well-organized
