Job Description

Volt has a great opportunity for a procurement specialist in the Boulder area!

The following are the key responsibilities of the position:

  1. Assures the procurement of manufacturing (direct) and non-manufacturing (indirect) materials, equipment and services in accordance with site procedures, global company requirements and management objectives
  2. Establishes and maintain supplier relationships.
  3. Negotiates pricing, lead times, and availability with suppliers.
  4. Maintains Purchasing Department records
  5. SAP (direct materials) Purchasing functions.
  6. Coordinates with site Finance and Accounting groups to assist with resolution of supplier invoices
  7. Tracks and reports key purchasing performance indicators
  8. Supports SAP Ariba for indirect procurement.
  9. Works with sourcing teams to ensure timely processing of orders,
  10. Coordinates with and supports the Supply Chain team to drive material and process-related improvements to ensure the site is meeting defined delivery targets.
  11. Coordinates with and supports all NASD Teams by obtaining quotes, placing and tracking purchase orders to meet site deliverable.

  1. Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) Q7 guidelines as well as international regulations pertaining to the production of APIs and drug products.
  2. Proficiency in using computer software and hardware applications, including Microsoft products and ERP systems.
  3. Skill in written and verbal communication including the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints regarding orders or materials from co-workers, manager or site management.
  4. Effective sourcing, negotiation and customer service skills, including supplier communications.

Experience and knowledge managing supplier contracts.
