Mechanical Assembly Technician

Working in a clean-room environment, the Assembly Technician performs mechanical and electrical assembly tasks using hand or power tools to produce assemblies or sub-assemblies used in the production of semiconductor capital equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Uses hand and power tools to assemble electrical and mechanical assemblies/sub-assemblies per work instructions or drawings
• Uses crimp/strip and soldering tools to build and/or modify cables
• Follows diagrams to perform cable routing and point to point wiring
• Integrates assemblies/sub-assemblies into final system
• Follows standard operating procedures and generates documentation, as required
• Follows PPE and clean-room gowning protocol

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude; prior electro-mechanical assembly experience
• Ability to work independently and communicate process issues and status in a team setting
• Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and work instructions
• Able to lift up to 50lbs. occasionally
