Mechanical Assembly Technician
Working in a clean-room environment, the Assembly Technician performs mechanical and electrical assembly tasks using hand or power tools to produce assemblies or sub-assemblies used in the production of semiconductor capital equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Uses hand and power tools to assemble electrical and mechanical assemblies/sub-assemblies per work instructions or drawings
- Uses crimp/strip and soldering tools to build and/or modify cables
- Follows diagrams to perform cable routing and point to point wiring
- Integrates assemblies/sub-assemblies into final system
- Follows standard operating procedures and generates documentation, as required
- Follows PPE and clean-room gowning protocol
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude; prior electro-mechanical assembly experience
- Ability to work independently and communicate process issues and status in a team setting
- Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and work instructions
- Able to lift up to 50lbs. occasionally
