Mechanical Engineer -  Hydraulic Project Coordinator   Located in Aurora, Illinois

Strong MS Excel, Pivot Tables, VLookups

Candidate Responsibilities


Represent the hydraulic system group as key member of the machine program team providing technical and program support. Help meet system PQVC (product, quality, velocity and cost) targets.

Typical Day

  • Lead regular meetings with external suppliers, internal component, validation and supply chain teams.
  • Draft emails collecting and providing program updates.
  • Work with installation teams to review component installations.
  • Work with suppliers to get updated engineering models as needed.
  • Troubleshoot system interactions and help resolve issues working with appropriate team members.
  • Support hydraulic components sizing and selection for system (pumps, valves, cylinders, etc.) to meet overall machine requirements.
  • Track program deliverables to meet design freezes and machine builds.
  • Pull together and present in system design reviews
  • Help troubleshoot system and component issues coming from the field and during development.
  • Keep documentation on NPI issues up-to-date.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural engineering

Technical Skills


Machine, component and/or system development experience in automotive, agricultural, mobile equipment (or equivalent) industries Strong analytical skills - Ability to review data and help making recommendations on next steps Familiarity with mobile hydraulics (hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders)

  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Excel

Soft Skills

Strong communications skills to help facilitate teamwork across worldwide team
