Direct Hire-Mechanical Engineer (Sustaining)

Location: Everett, WA

Talented Mechanical Engineer to join our design team working on Sustaining designs. Our Designs contain small, precise, and complex mechanisms to fully integrated digital control panels designed to perform under stringent environmental conditions.

  • As a mechanical engineer with the Sustaining team, you will be designing primarily in the Pro-E / Creo environment and challenged with analytical problems pertaining to injection molded parts, machined parts, mechanics of materials, finishes, and vibration.
  • You will be working in a state-of-the-art electronics assembly facility with in-house prototype, fabrication, and tooling capabilities.
  • You will be required to collaborate with multiple disciplines (within and outside of engineering); often having the lead role and driving to pragmatic, technically sound solutions.
  • You will need to effectively communicate your ideas, solutions, and findings to your peers, management, and customers. 


 Some of your primary responsibilities will be:

•         Leading cross-functional design teams

•         Designing  part and assembly using PTC’s Pro-Engineer WF4 / Creo

•         Controlling design configurations using Intralink 3.4 / PDMLink

•         Designing for manufacturability and assembly

•         Managing documentation to maintain export compliance

•         Communicating with customers to resolve technical issues

•         Conducting failure analysis to determine and correct root cause issues

•         Conducting prototype and engineering tests for design verification

•         Overseeing testing and qualification of electro-mechanical assemblies

•         Creating and conducting technical presentations on the above items

Education/Previous Experience Requirements

•         Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical focus is preferred

•         5 years of experience minimum with electro-mechanical aerospace assemblies is preferred.

•         Experience with 3D CAD modeling software, PTC WF4 or CREO is preferred

-Sustaining Programs/Products Experience a MUST as an Engineer.
