Job Description

We are looking to hire a Media Blast (A35) Aerospace- Process Technician for our Client in the Aerospace industry in Burlington, ON for approximately a 4 months' contract, through Volt Workforce Solutions Canada.

  • Work schedule will start on a Training Day-Shift and will be confirmed throughout the interviews.

NOTE: as per Ontario Regulation 833, pre-employment and pre-placement medical examinations as well as ongoing medical monitoring are required for employees working in this position.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor as the Process Technician you will be responsible for the processing of landing gear components utilizing the sand blast and bake oven units. 

Primary responsibilities: 

• Sand blasting of aircraft components in preparation for plating/painting 
• Part fixturing, loading and unloading 
• Act as a cross functional team member and support/perform masking for plating and other processing applications as requested 
• Participate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams) 
• Loads and unloads parts into and out of oven for stress relief 
• Maintains traceability documentation for all life-limited components 
• Follows good housekeeping and safety practices applicable to the department 
• Wears all company-provided personal protective equipment designated for the department 
• Standing for extended periods of time while working 
• To work in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all applicable regulations 
• To follow all company EHS requirements including the use of appropriate PPE 
• To participate in all company mandated EHS training 
• To only operate equipment on which you are trained and authorized 
• To immediately report all hazards or accidents to site supervision 
• Perform other duties as required 


• Minimum High School Diploma or approved equivalent 
• Minimum one (1) year work experience in a fast paced industrial setting (experience with landing gear components preferred) 
• Able to work shifts (days and/or afternoons) 
• Demonstrated teamwork skills 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Self-starter with initiative and the ability to work independently.
