Job Description

Volt is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for one of our clients

SUMMARY:  The Maintenance Mechanic III performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant equipment. They will demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary. Other tasks include but are not limited to: usage of computer software, PLC troubleshooting, data collections, calibrations, write preventative maintenance procedures and component level troubleshooting and repair.


  • Has substantial understanding of the job, equipment and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks
  • Works on assignments that are difficult, requiring sound judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations
  • Able to prioritize scheduled work and meet business demands on a daily basis.


  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Typically requires 10+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent demonstrated competency
  • Expertise in both electrical and mechanical technology



  • Able to work in a team environment and show flexibility with job role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read complex schematics, electrical and electronic drawings
  • Ability to troubleshoot PLC ladder logic, and CNC equipment
  • Competent in all Maintenance Mechanic II tasks/requirements
  • Willingness to learn lead responsibilities/tasks as assigned by management
  • Strong competencies in electrical and mechanical technology
  • Basic computer knowledge, demonstrated use of SAP

Work Environment

Job functions take place in a warehouse setting and are subject to environmental conditions involving temperature changes throughout the year which include heat, humidity, and cold.  The worker is exposed to physical exposures which include but are not limited to elevated noise, vibration, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds.  The worker may be exposed to certain atmospheric conditions that involve but are not limited to dusts, vapors, mists, and odors.  Personal Protective Equipment for some or all of the exposures listed above is a requirement to perform this job function. Required Medical Surveillance Vision and Audiogram with PIV.
