Are you a Molding Engineer with 3-5 Years of experience in a clean room environment? 

Then this position may be for you.

Qualifications


  • Must have excellent knowledge of injection molding presses (hydraulic and electric), molds, mold design and other related processing equipment such as hoppers/loaders, blenders, dryers, sprue pickers, hot runner systems etc.
  • Must have experience working with common molding grade plastics such as Polypropylene, Polycarbonate, ABS, Nylon etc.
  • Must have the ability to communicate with as well as train and develop process technicians
  • Knowledge of general mold maintenance and repairs
  • Experience in validation of presses and molds (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Experience in Extrusion of PVC, HDPE and PU is a big plus
  • Ability to apply analytical skills and scientific techniques in problem solving and development
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Plastics preferred but not required)
  • 3-5 years injection molding experience in medical device industry or clean room molding

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead all engineering activities related to Argon’s injection molding process
  • Establish a robust process window for all injection molded components using Scientific Molding techniques along with Design for Experiments (DOE’s).
  • Troubleshoot molding / manufacturing processes to mitigate production defects
  • Champion process improvement/optimization projects
  • Identify and execute opportunities for cost savings
  • Perform process and mold qualifications, validations etc.
  • Evaluate and select various engineered materials, execute material consolidation projects
  • Implement safety, productivity and yield improvements
  • Develop and maintain process documentation
  • Participate in projects related to New Product Introduction
  • Develop process for SMED, design, execute and train set-up operators
  • Use structured project management process to execute projects on time
  • Lead complex projects and maintain project timeline and budget.
  • Liaison between Molding, Tooling, R&D and Quality Engineering teams
