Job Description:
This family provides overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs. 
May include planning, designing, and evaluating various components of network. 
May evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance current capabilities. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. 
Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee). 

SCOPE: 
Provide overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs. 
Support the full system engineering life-cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, test, and implementation. Involves comprehensive knowledge of this technical field and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. 
Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules. 
Establish and recommends changes to policies which affect subordinate organizations(s). 

PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: 
Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of data requires an evaluation of various factors. 
Exercises independent judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and criteria for obtaining results. Ensures project schedules, and performance requirements are met. 
IMPACT: Contributes to the development of organization's goals and objectives. 
Decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules. 
LIAISON: Frequently interacts with customers and functional peer groups. 
Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, oversee production, and maintain work schedules. 
May serve in a lead role and train others. 
FREEDOM TO ACT: Works under limited direction. 
Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. 
May determine methods and procedures on new assignments. 

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: 
Having knowledge and experience, able to handle seldom and unusual occurring job events. 
May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and provide guidance to nonexempt personnel. 
Knowledge of assigned product(s), company functions, service policies and procedures and good communication skills. TYPICAL 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years' experience in a broad range of assignments in technical tasks directly related to the proposed area of responsibility.
