Location:  Field Based, West Coast

VOLT is looking for a New Business Development Sales Manager with Retail experience. The successful candidate would possess 5-7 years of experience in closing large and medium/large accounts in retail markets.  In addition, the candidate would have a proven track record of working with C-level executives and experience working with and leverage SI/VARs.  They will also become a subject matter expert in the retail market.


  • Achieve and exceed assigned revenue goal within the assigned market
  • Develop strategy and grow the current business in this market as well as find new business opportunities
  • Become the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the assigned market
  • Create and develop C-level relationships inside ISV/SI and end user accounts in the assigned market
  • Lead and assist Marketing in the design, development and execution of unique programs and collateral
  • Identify customers’ needs and recommend solutions that provide additional value
  • Report on all sales activities, revenue projections and forecasting requirements
  • Extensive travel within the assigned territory
  • Identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities and driving incremental revenue within the assigned market
  • Revenue goal attainment and over-achievement is key. 
  • Pipeline development and new opportunity generation directly affects the ability to meet and exceed individual objectives.
  • Frequent communications with sales management and customer contacts
  • Daily prospecting for new business opportunities
  • Develop key relationships with customers, channel partners and co-workers

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree required, MBA desirable


  • 5 to 7 years calling on C-level executives with a proven track record of demonstrated success in closing large and med-lar accounts. 
  • Background and expertise in the assigned market is required.
  • Experience working with and leveraging SI/VARs is required.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Applications,, SAP and other sales-oriented applications.
  • Home office and late model car (sedan)
