Job Description

Job Title: Assembler

Location: Wixom, MI

Shift: 7am-3:30pm

Pay Rate: $18/hr  

Job Description:

  • The primary responsibility of this position is to build products and to make materials available for disposition in the work environment. Duties will involve a variety of tasks but not limited to: performing assembly of large industrial type machines, pallet building, incidental machining, problem solving, and taking corrective action to assigned products or areas, operation of material handling equipment, receiving, counting loading or unloading transportation vehicles.
  • Equipment operation and maintenance
  • Troubleshooting
  • Use of miscellaneous hand and measuring tools, gauges, test equipment, power lift equipment and possible tow motor operation
  • Parts preparation, labeling, movement and tracking
  • Inspection and quality tracking and reporting
  • Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures
  • Conformance to production and administrative procedures
  • Enhancement of existing processes
  • Must be able to communicate with leaders and work well with others in a team environment.

EDUCATION:        

  • High School diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience associated with the task to be performed preferred.

  • Technical Ability – effectively apply written/verbal instructions from procedures, documents and blueprints, etc
  • Ability to Learn – assimilating and apply new, job related information in a timely manner Adaptability – maintaining effectiveness in a changing environment, assignments, responsibilities and/or priorities
  • Physical Dexterity – effectively assemble electrical/mechanical devices
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Ability to drive a tow motor
  • Consistent attendance required
