Volt is looking for NPI Operations Manager for our client in San Jose, CA

JOB OVERVIEW:

As a key member of the SSD BU team, the NPI Operation Manager position has a wide range of responsibilities that are grounded in forecast accuracy + operational execution. Complete ownership of E2E Sample Planning Process

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the main Interface between HQ and Engineering/Marketing
    • Be actively involved in roadmap discussions, concept reviews, and has technical know how to be able to challenge/question HQ on supply (NAND rev?)
    • Secure overall NAND allocation for sample from HQ
  • Be actively involved in the new SKU creation process- work with HQ to ensure all attributes are identified, perform NPI onboarding into Demantra
  • Manage the sample process from ES (not CS as per current process)
    • Additional steps if we own vs just manage the data points
  • Work with Sales on getting sample FC for Pilot/PVT builds
  • Take on the role of hosting the weekly meetings to review build plan and ship schedules, resolution of build issues
  • Manage all NPI activities internally to HQ, working with Supply Chain, Marketing and Operations
  • Highlight issues and challenges to meet the timelines; Provide options to resolve the issues; timely escalations
  • Executive dashboards, operational dashboards
  • Potential owner of Sample returns

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • In Depth understanding of NAND Industry; Flash Drive Supply Chain and Product Lifecycle concepts
  • The candidate must have an operational/technical background and familiarity with NPI product roadmaps and processes.
  • Program and Project Management skills
  • Prior experience in product planning, inventory management, or production / manufacturing operations is strongly preferred.
  • The candidate must combine a working knowledge of world class supply chain practices, strong analytical capabilities, and business savvy.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams, such as sales and marketing, throughout the lifetime of a product.
  • 5-7 Yrs of relevant experience, Master's degree preferred
