Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking a Operations Administrative Generalist!  This is a contingent position forecasted for 3 Years in Cedar Falls, IA with John Deere.

Job Description:

Performs a full range of administrative support duties of a confidential and challenging nature; facilitates work flow through a manager's office using organizational knowledge to determine how to handle incoming requests and assignments, including work going to and from other managers or directors; will help develop and maintain various intranet (SharePoint) web sites and manage content – including video content - therein, assists with administration and negotiations for external suppliers, writing/submitting purchase orders, assists with various definition, documentation, and communication of many site and organizational processes and procedures. Various project work consistent with the skills and skill level found in the job. Duties: Researches, resolves, and responds to general and semi-complex customer concerns; escalates complex questions for resolution. Retrieves records or data and distributes information as appropriate in order to provide timely and accurate information to managers, department members or external customers or suppliers. Gathers and summarizes data from various sources in order to complete reports and special projects. Performs analysis of complex nature on information received, and researches or resolves issues following prescribed procedures. Conveys supervisor's instructions and requirements to others, and exchanges information with senior managers on the supervisor's behalf. Updates and maintains databases, systems applications or files to ensure accurate and current information is available for use by others. Schedules meetings, coordinates travel arrangements, and maintains appointment calendars on behalf of department managers or supervisors; will coordinate meeting setups and amenities (i.e. refreshments, catering, etc.) as well as janitorial arrangements via 3rd party agreements. Drafts and edits presentations and spreadsheets, prepares documents and digital media for distribution. Maintains and updates established web sites with the assistance of basic web publishing software applications.


  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently on multiple projects under deadlines
  • Intermediate-level experience with and/or working-level knowledge of MS Office Suite - especially Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills, including multi-tasking and demonstrated problem-solving
  • Strong customer service experience and skillset
  • 4 year Business or Engineering related degrees


  • Expert-level experience with and/or working-level knowledge of MS software including SharePoint, OneNote, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in administrative role(s) with proven success administering for complex projects and/or organization(s)
  • Experience in formulating or publishing critical group, team, org or site communications
