Operations Coordinator 

Duties 

You will be fielding calls from the Institution (Education) customers.

  • Knowledge of our products is required Low-level understanding of technology extremely helpful; understanding of iOS devices and how you get software on them. Majority of the day will be fielding in-bound calls.
  • The reason for bringing on additional resources is to free up the current team with more time to help the inside sales and field sales teams with quotes for customers.
    Half of the calls received are from people who have never previously purchased from us.
  • They fall into 3 buckets: 1) New Schools 2) New SAP # request new person wanting their own account 3) New Contact at a current customer – (“librarian at a school is taking over the position and has to buy new iPads
  • No idea how to go about the process – reps have to walk them through from beginning to end.
  •  Another group of calls are not going to the right department “queue” to be handled correctly.
  • Reps need to understand which department in our company they need to re-direct those calls.
  • Post-Sales calls are another example – questions or concerns after the sale are handled by a different queue and need to be directed to that specific team.
  • Develops and maintains positive customer relations; coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Critical skills include:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a passion for customer service, strong technical aptitude, resourcefulness and flexibility.
  • Advanced judgment, negotiation and problem solving skills.
  • Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Must have excellent relationship-building skills with other internal organizations.
