Job Description

Engineering Intern (3-month summer contract)

Plymouth, MN $19-21/hr. (DOE)

Design, prototyping, and implementation of product components, test equipment, and manufacturing tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of test methods and validation protocols, including data analysis and report generation.
  • Interaction with production teams to assess and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Documentation of engineering drawings, test plans/reports, and manufacturing protocols.
  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
     

Requirements:

  • Working towards Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Material Science, Software, Chemical, Computer Science etc.)
  • Must be a 3rd or 4th year college student
  • Works with standard office equipment such as telephone, cellular phone, fax/copier, and a personal computer with standard office software.
  • Working Conditions: Works primarily in a standard office environment with air conditioning, good lighting with a low to moderate noise level.
  • May travel between company facilities, visit labs, and other areas as necessary should have basic engineering design classes and have ability to work in areas of college major on engineering projects.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and Demonstrated proficiency in operating a personal computer. Must be proficient in using frequently used personal computer programs (e.g., Excel, Word, or equivalent) and/used personal computer programs (e.g., Excel, Word.be aware of basic Eng. Applications)
